Appalachian District Health Promotion & Health Education Program strives to provide quality education programs for health department patients and the community at large for Alleghany, Ashe, and Watauga Counties.
Our Health Promotion & Health Education Program works with local worksites, schools, faith communities, preschools, community groups, families, and individuals to promote healthy lifestyles. Primary focus of the program is to follow the NC 2010 Objectives and Healthy People 2010 to promote quality of life for all citizens through the partnership of the Eat Smart Move More North Carolina initiative.
To achieve our objectives, we actively collaborate with colleagues from community organizations and students from local universities to provide a variety of quality programs. We invite you to contact us about program opportunities.
