Beth G. Lovette, MPH, RN was appointed Public Health Director for Appalachian District (Alleghany, Ashe and Watauga Counties) by the Appalachian District Board of Health July 2011. Ms. Lovette has her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and received a Masters in Public Health from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Prior to her appointment with Appalachian District, she served as Wilkes County’s Public Health Director for over ten years. Additionally, Ms. Lovette served in management level positions with several hospital-based home health and hospice agencies. Ms. Lovette has served as President of the North Carolina Association of Local Health Directors and is currently a board member with several local and state health related organizations.
